EDUCATION/TRAINING
CURRENT
I currently rehearse and develop new and existing skills and performances
at The Circus Space, London. I am also involved in bringing in experienced
circus professionals from abroad to run master classes for myself and
other professional jugglers.
2000 / 2001
(NVQ Level 3) Trained for one year as a teacher in the context of circus
skills, and completed the FAETC 7306 certificate (further adult education
teaching certificate) affiliated with the City of Bristol College.
1999 / 2000
(OCR Diploma) Completed the one-year full time course at Circomedia, Britain’s
centre for contemporary circus and physical performance. Specialising
in equilibristics and manipulation and aerial as well as getting good
foundation skills in physical theatre, acrobatics, rigging of circus equipment
and business / marketing advice.
1999
Awarded the Thom MacGinty Award from Dublin Corporation to receive further
education in performance arts.

EMPLOYMENT/
PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE
PRESENT - PERFORMANCE
I currently perform a wide range of acts both solo and with a variety
of groups including ‘Gandini Juggling Project’, "Freehand
Juggling", and ‘Spot the Drop’ club passing. Recent shows
have taken place around the UK and abroad including France, Belgioum,
Norway, Austria, Slovenia, Ireland, Spain, Turkey, Kuwait, Dubai, Germany
and Holland.
PRESENT – TEACHING
Commenced part-time post as ‘Head of Juggling’ in The Circus
Space, the Powerhouse of Britain’s Contemporary Circus. This involves
organising the juggling students’ course structure and classes as
well as teaching on the Foundation Degree and BA (Hons) Degree course.
I occasionally teach juggling in the Circus Space for the Youth Circus
Projects and on corporate workshops.
2005
Worked with professional juggler, Steve Rawlings, on large scale juggling
show with 6 other jugglers.
2003 – 2004
Performed with ‘Swamp Circus-Theatre’ as juggler and aerialist
as well as being a key character in theatre show, ‘Fragile’.
Venues included: Sheffield Crucible, Glastonbury Festival and Newbury
Corn Exchange.
2002
Worked with Iranian dancer, Medea Mahdavi, on her new dance theatre show,
‘Dancing the Knife’. Playing the part of an unsettling street
performer, the show opened in March 2002.
2001
Employed through Circomedia on ‘Project Go’ and for ‘Multi-A’,
Working as outreach teacher in secondary schools and circus clubs teaching
a wide range of circus related skills and performance.
2001
Taught workshops and devised performances with community groups in Portadown,
Ireland, for ‘Bed of Roses’ festival and also Performing a
live improvisation piece with a cast of contemporary dancers and musicians.
